World leaders vow to end deforestation by 2030

World leaders have promised to end the reduction of the population of tress around the globe – also known as deforestation – by the year 2030.

They observed that the felling trees contributes to climate change because it reduces forests that absorb carbon dioxide, which causes global warming.

The pledge was made by more than one hundred world leaders at the climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland.

They also pledged about nineteen point two billion US dollars to fund projects that would help to reduce the effect of global warming.
