World’s 10 richest men doubled their wealth during Covid pandemic

Ten of the world’s richest people have seen their wealth multiply during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A newly released report also suggested that about one hundred and sixty million people dropped below the poverty line during the period.

Oxfam International made the revelations in its report, which was released ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Oxfam’s Executive Director Gabriela Bucher, said the world’s ten richest men saw their fortunes increased from seven hundred billion dollars to one point five trillion dollars.

Here in Nigeria; Oxfam said the ten richest people had their wealth increase by thirty-eight percent under the Covid-19 pandemic.
