Anambra Governorship Election: Supreme Court affirms Soludo as APGA candidate

The Supreme Court has removed the last obstacle for Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to contest the Anambra State governorship election as candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance.

A five-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Mary Odili confirmed Professor Soludo as APGA candidate, just as it also declared that Victor Oye is the authentic chairman of APGA.

In its judgment; the Supreme Court affirmed an earlier ruling by the Kano State Division of the Court of Appeal, which ruled in favou of the APGA primary that produced Soludo as APGA candidate.

The Supreme Court justices held that the Court of Appeal was right for upturning the judgment of the Jigawa State High Court in favour of the primary election of the APGA faction led by Jude Okeke.
