A faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has suspended one of the major contenders for the party’s governorship ticket in Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
The Jude Okeke-led faction of APGA’s National Working Committee announced the suspension of a former Governor of the Central Bank, just as the party holds its governorship primary in the state capital, Awka.
Acting National Publicity Secretary of the APGA faction, Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, informed newsmen in Abuja that the group took the decision to suspend Professor Soludo on Tuesday night.
Chukwunyere also announced the successful completion of the factional “Special Delegate Ward Congresses, where he said three-member were elected from each ward for their governorship primary on July 1, which is on Thursday next week.
Meanwhile; members of APGA in Anambra State have taken part in the party’s governorship primary in Awka today, which the Jude Okeke-led faction described as a sham.
