Court jails 2 internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt

A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has jailed two young men for two years for internet fraud.

The convicts include Gerald Uwuoma, who claimed to be an American citizen by the name of Charlie Clifford Jimmy.

Justice A. T. Mohammed found Uwuoma guilty of internet-related fraudulent activities and sentenced him to two years in prison, with an option of five hundred thousand

Justice Mohammed also convicted one Promise Amadi, with the fake name of Sebastian Ubierna, and sentenced him to one-year imprisonment.

However; Amadi was given an option of two hundred thousand naira fine, just as he was ordered to forfeit a Samsung Galaxy S8 gadget to the Federal Government.
