FG declares April 2, 5 public holidays for Easter

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 2, and Monday, April 5, as public holidays for this year’s Easter celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, in a statement by the Director of Press and Public Relations in the Ministry, Mohammed Manga.

According to the statement, Aregbesola urged Christians to emulate the attributes of forgiveness, kindness, humility, love, peace and patience, which were demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

The Minister also called on Christians to use the occasion of Easter to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of the country.
