The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, says those who attacked security operatives declared war against Nigeria.
Lai Mohammed said government will respond with powerful force to the killing of soldiers, as well as police, and customs officials.
Mohammed said those behind the acts want to cause fear and make people think that insecurity in the country is very bad.
The Minister made the observations during a news conference in Lagos State on the security situation across the nation.
He appealed to Nigerians to support security agencies, who he said are now forced to watch their back, while working to protect others.
