FG sets 6-day target for processing of Nigerian Passport

The Federal Minister of Interior has taken steps to speed up the issuance of the Nigerian International Passport to those who need them.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, also promised that the processing of all pending applications for passport will be completed and delivered by the end of May this year.

Aregbesola said going forward, the entire passport application processing by the Nigeria Immigration Service will not last more than six weeks.

The Minister was speaking at meeting in Abuja with the Comptroller General of Immigration, Mohammad Babandede, as well as Passport Control Officers and attaches in Nigeria Missions abroad.
