FIFA clears former England U-20 striker Ademola Lookman to represent Nigeria

Leicester forward, Ademola Lookman, is now free to play for Nigeria, if he is invited to the Super Eagles.

This is because world football governing body, FIFA, has approved the request of Lookman to switch his nationality from England to Nigeria.

With the development, Lookman could play his first game with the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Ghana in March.

Lookman like many others of Nigerian descent came through the youth ranks with England at both Under 19 and Under 21 levels.

The former Charlton player also helped England’s Under 20 football team win the U20 World Cup in 2017.
