Former minister, Sarah Ochekpe & 2 others get three months prison sentence for money laundering

Former Minister of Water Resources, Serah Ochekpe, has been sentenced to three months in prison.

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State sentenced Ochekpe alongside two others who were charged with money laundering involving four hundred and fifty million naira.

The other convicts are a former Plateau State chairman of the People Democratic Party, Raymond Dabo, and the Plateau State Coordinator of Jonathan Campaign Organization, Leo-Sunday Jitong.

The convicts have been standing trial since 2018 based on charges filed against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
