The Lagos State Government has honoured a police officer attached to the Rapid Response Squad for exemplary conduct in the face of an assault by a motorist.
The officer is Sunday Erhator, who is an Assistant Superintendent of Police, while the driver who assaulted him was identified as thirty-three-year old Victor Ebhomenyen.
The police have already arrested Ebhomenyen over the incident, which happened last Saturday, near the Four Point Hotel in Victoria Island.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, presented ASP Erhator to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In his response; Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the officer for being a good example of how police officers should conduct themselves when dealing with members of the public.
