Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed a contract for the supply of two high speed trains for the Red Line service.
This comes ahead of the completion of construction of the thirty-seven-kilometres Lagos Red Line train track, which runs from Agbado to Oyingbo.
Governor Sanwo-Olu announced the signing of the deal for the Talgo three-hundred-and-thirty-kilometre-per-hour speed train on his Facebook page.
The Governor said the move shows the commitment of his administration to the Red Line Metro rail project, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
