Gunmen attack 3 Ebonyi villages, as kidnappers free catholic priest in Imo

Many were feared killed in the attacks, which occurred in Otebu, Iguduobu and Obodocha villages in Ebele community.

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Internal Security and Border Peace, Stanley Okoro, confirmed the attack, but did not disclose the identity of the attackers.

Elsewhere; the Catholic Priest and lecturer with the Imo State University, Reverend Father Izu Onyeocha, who was kidnapped last Sunday, has been freed by his captors.

Reverend Father Onyeocha was kidnapped around Ihube in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo state, while he was traveling from Owerri to Enugu.
