IGP flags off “Operation Puff Adder-Two” for nationwide security

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has flagged off a nationwide security operation, which is aimed at securing the public space.

The exercise, which is code-named ‘‘Operation Puff Adder-Two”, began yesterday, and it is targeted at bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers and other violent crimes.

In his address to police officers and men from the Force Headquarters in Abuja, I.G.P Adamu said there shall be a massive deployment of both human and operational assets for the exercise.

He said the first phase of the operation is targeted at the restoration of peace and security in the Northwest and North-Central Geopolitical Zones of the country.
