All is set for the diversion of traffic on the Yaba-bound lane of Ikorodu Road, around Anthony, beginning from Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Frederic Oladeinde, said the traffic diversion would last for six days.
Oladeinde said during the period, the state government would begin the construction of the drainage channel on that axis of the road.
The Commissioner explained in a statement that the drainage works was part of efforts by the government to tackling the problem of flooding on the road.
He appealed to motorists to cooperate with officials of the Lagos Traffic Management Authority who would be on standby to ensure free movement of traffic in the area.
