Lagos-Ogun joint development commissioner launched

The Governors of Lagos and Ogun states have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Lagos-Ogun Joint Development Commission.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State travelled to Abeokuta where he joined his Ogun State counterpart, Dapo Abiodun, for the ceremony.

In his remarks; Governor Sanwo-Olu said Lagos and Ogun states have so much in common and much more to share in the emerging mega cities.

The Lagos State Governor also called for increased collaboration among the thirty-six states of Nigeria to drive development for the good of the entire people of the country.

On his part; Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State described the launch of the Joint Development Commission as the result of two forward thinking governors.

Governor Abiodun also called for the support of the private sector towards achieving the goals of the Lagos-Ogun Joint Development Commission.

Meanwhile, both the Houses of Assembly of Lagos and Ogun states are expected to make laws for the Lagos-Ogun Joint Development Commission.
