LASG issues 21-days eviction notice to owners of structures under powerline in Agege

Owners of structures that are erected under high-tension electricity power lines and close to canals in Agege have been given twenty-one days to move out of such areas.

This is because the Lagos State Government has concluded plans to move its demolition equipment into Akilo Road, Agege, where some persons have built houses and shops.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Oluwatoyin Fayinka, confirmed the planned demolition of illegal structures in the area during an inspection tour.

Fayinka said the land where the structures are erected on Akilo Road has been set aside for the development of a Mechanic Village.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Agege Local Government, Kola Egunjobi, appealed to residents of Agege to obey the government order and move out of the area within twenty-one days.
