Motorists in Nigeria are now expected to pay higher fees for vehicle number plates and Drivers Licence, with started from August 1, 2021.
The fee for Standard Private Number Plates and Standard Commercial Number Plates is now eighteen thousand, seven hundred and fifty naira.
Also, motorists who may want to obtain the Drivers Licence are to pay ten thousand, three hundred and fifty naira for three years, or fifteen thousand, four hundred and fifty naira for five years.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, Lape Kilanko, said the new fees were approved by the Joint Tax Board.
Kilanko said the Joint Tax Board confirmed the decision in a letter to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, which was dated July 30, 2021.
