Two thousand and one persons are now known to have died from Covid-19 infection in Nigeria.
The number includes eight infected persons who died yesterday, as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The NCDC also said two thousand, one hundred and seventeen patients who recovered from Covid-19 were discharged in Lagos and Abuja yesterday.
However; the NCDC also confirmed two hundred and eighty-seven new cases of the coronavirus in seventeen states and Abuja yesterday.
Lagos State topped the list with the highest number of new cases, which the NCDC puts at one hundred and seven.
