A popular Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James, who is popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has been detained by the police for alleged defilement of a minor.
Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, said investigations revealed that the forty-eight-years-old Olarenwaju had been assaulting a fourteen-year-old girl she was seven.
Adejobi disclosed in a statement that the case against Olarenwaju was reported on April 19 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya, at the Sabo Police Station, from where the matter was transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti.
He said the suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant.
