Residents advised to take ownership of Lagos-Badagry expressway expansion project

The Lagos State Government has called on residents of the state to take ownership of projects in their communities and ensure they are protected.

This was the outcome of a meeting of stakeholders on the ongoing expansion of the Lagos -Badagry Expressway from four to ten lanes.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Rotimi Thomas, told those present at the event to ensure their people make good use of public facilities provide for them.

Thomas said that the Lagos -Badagry Expressway project is in three segments, adding that one of the segments has been completed.

On her part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civic Engagement, Aderemi Adebowale, observed that illegal trading is delaying the competition of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
