The Lagos State Government has waded into the Magodo land dispute, saying that one Chief Adebayo Adeyiga, misled the Police in attempting execution of the judgment despite the pending Appeal against the issuance of warrant of possession by the then Chief Judge of Lagos State on March 16th, 2017
The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, in a statement, described the invasion as unwarranted and illegal, adding that those found culpable would be prosecuted.
Recall that vehicular and human movements were paralyzed in Magodo Estate, Shangisha area of Lagos State during the week after residents blocked all entrances to the estate over planned forceful possession and possible demolition of their properties by members of a family who claimed to be original owner of the land.
