Tinubu cancels birthday conference to honour victims of Kaduna-Abuja train attack

Former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, cut short the annual celebration of his birthday, as he turned seventy yesterday.

Guests were already seated for the annual event at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos when Tinubu mounted the stage and called for prayers for victims of the terror attack on a passenger train in Kaduna.

He described the train attack as a national tragedy and urged the guests to go home and pray for the victims.

Tinubu added that the attack calls for a very serious sober reflection and he cannot be dancing and celebrating after such a tragic event.
