United States athletes will not be taking part in the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in the Chinese city of Beijing.
The move is in protest by the US government over allegations of human rights abuses by the Chinese government, including alleged genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang.
However; the Chinese government has threatened to retaliate the action.
