The Western Nigeria Security Network has arrested more than one hundred cows for destroying a farm on the Akure-Ilesa Expressway in Ondo State.
The Ondo State Commander of the security outfit, also known as Operation Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye, said the cows were detained for violating the ban on open grazing in the state.
Adeleye also said the animals also destroyed a processing plant, solar light and about fifty hectares of farm land.
He said the owner of the cows has been directed to meet and settle with the owner of the farm that was destroyed by the animals, or the cows would be auctioned.
