EFCC secures multiple convictions of fraudsters

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos State Special Offences Court, sitting in Ikeja, found Awobeku guilty of the charges brought against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Awobeku was accused of collecting the money from Professor EDOZIE as payment for duties and charges to clear his goods.

However; Justice Taiwo also ruled that if AWOBEKU refunds Professor EDOZIE’s one point one-nine-three million naira and pays a fine of two hundred thousand naira, she would not be sent to prison.

In another development; Justice LADIRAN AKINTOLA of the Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan, has found one Oluwatobi Damilola Aina guilty of fraud.
