Eti-Osa leaders reject proposed move to Epe division of Lagos

Traditional rulers, elders, indigenes, and stakeholders of Eti-Osa have rejected a proposed bill before the Lagos House of Assembly, which seeks to move Eti-Osa from Lagos Division to Epe Division.

The Oniru of Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal, will lead a team to present their position to the State Assembly during a public hearing on the bill on Friday, February 12, 2021.

The decisions were reached during a meeting at the Eti-Osa Local Government secretariat, in Igbo-Efon area of Lekki.

The meeting was called by two members of the State Assembly from Eti-Osa: Gbolahan Yishawu and Naveen Adams.

Commenting on the development, a legal practitioner, Adewale Sanni, said everyone in Eti-Osa has a root in Lagos Island.
