The police in Lagos State are investigating the killing of a member of the National Union of Road Transport Worker in the Agboju area of the state.
The victim, who was identified simply as Ekpo, was shot dead yesterday during a rally by members of the All Progressives Congress.
One Jimoh Buhari, who was identified as the spokesman for the NURTW Chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya, confirmed the incident and the identity of the victim.
Buhari told reporters that Ekpo was trying to protect a politician, Wale Yusuf, from harassment when he was shot dead.
