Police nabs 127 traffic robbers in Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has boasted that traffic robbery will soon become a thing of the past in Lagos.

C.P. Odumosu made the boast following the arrest of one hundred and twenty-seven suspected traffic robbers in Lagos in the last three months.

They include twenty-one-year-old Tunde Ramoni, who was arrested at Ojota on Tuesday; and thirty-four-year-old Samuel Adepoju who was picked up while robbing with an unregistered motorcycle around the Tipper area of Ketu.

The Commissioner of Police also confirmed the commencement of the training of a Special Squad to boost the operation of the State Command in the fight against criminal gangs.

Briefing newsmen at the State Police Command in Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police said with donation of additional security equipment by the Lagos State Government, the fight against traffic robbery will be intensified.
