The police in Lagos State have rescued a man and his wife who were locked up in a room inside their house by their children for more than twelve months.
Surajudeen Jaji and his wife, who are both over seventy years old, were rescued around Bucknor, in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the rescue of the aged couple to Lasgidi FM News Desk.
The Police spokesman said investigations show that the rescued husband and wife had tried to sell their property before they were locked up by their children.
